Roka II

This is an already existing post, but I have updated some photos from last evening. Enjoy!

One of my favorite japanese restaurants in London is definitely Roka in Charlotte Street. The food is mouth watering and the venue is nice with its open kitchen.
If you are a fish and sushi lover I can more than recommend that place. The problem is, I can never decide what to eat, EVERYTHING sounds delicious. Better go there with many friends, so you can try everything on the menu ;) If you are more than two you should book a table in advance, otherwise it is hard to get a table, for two they usually have tables with a waiting time up to one hour, which can be spend in the cosy lounge downstairs...and some nice cocktails.

The rice hot pot with king crab and wasabi tobiko is the best dish if you ask me. It is comparable to the Italian risotto, with its creamy and oozy consistence and the mix between the spicy wasabi, the sour lemon, the crispy tobiko and the fresh crab give an amazing taste. While you are waiting order the salty edamame, but be careful: once you start you can't stop!

Nizuni

Little hidden gem in Marylebone: Nizuni is a tiny Japanese restaurant in Marylebone Lane. The place is cosy and small with just a few tables and very delicious, yet reasonably priced sushi and other Japanese dishes. Nizuni's bigger sibling, the main restaurant,  is located in Fitzrovia, Charlotte Street where it is rather busy. If you like quiet places, quality food without spending a fortune, Nizuni in Marylebone is definitely worth trying!

Munich - Restaurants & Bars

Munich - I love being back home. For me Munich is a place of total relaxation, it's actually quiet in the night. Compared to London, a village, but an amazingly beautiful one!
Anyways, last time I was writing about some Munich hotspots, restaurants especially. Reading about them is the one thing, but to actually have a look at some photos the other thing. Or at least I always want to see photos! Here we go, I went to some nice restaurant the last week and took some snapshots!

Zum Goldenen Kalb - one of the best steaks in town. But even if you don't like steak, the lobster soup and the tuna tartar was amazing as well. I had some artichokes as a starter and afterwards a steak with some veggies. Medium, perfectly tender...food porn!
The dessert was a delight as well.

If you fancy some drinks in a very nice atmosphere - Schumanns is the place to go. I go there every now and then when I'm in Munich, for a coffee in the sun or some cocktails in the evenings.

Always a treat! Zest in Munich's heart is a very nice bar and restaurant. From Clubsandwich, over tapas  to tartar...there is something for every one!

If you are a Vietnamese food fan, I have a top recommendation: Nguyen! I love the duck, super crispy and tender. But what I like the most, is the rice paper rolls. Not normal rice paper rolls, which you get ready to eat, no, you have to roll them yourself. Trust me, that's fun. You get about 6 rice papers and a lot of ingredients, just out them on the rice paper and roll it! Very nice indeed...

Aroma Kaffee Bar is located in an area called Glockenbachviertel, where you can find cool places and cafés. Aroma Bar is a very cosy and cute café, offering sweet and savoury treats, a unique interior and good coffee...
